What vehicles are covered?
The Powertrain Limited Warranty applies to all pre-owned certified non-commercial vehicles.
How long does the Powertrain Warranty last?
The Powertrain Limited Warranty is valid for 6 months or 6,000 miles – whichever comes first.
How much extra does the warranty cost?
The Powertrain Limited Warranty is provided at no additional cost with your pre-owned certified vehicle purchase. You will be required to pay a $100 deductible for each covered repair.
Do I have to have all vehicle service completed at East Hills Auto Group?
No, although we hope you do. Our Certified and Master Certified technicians are trained to help keep your vehicle running at its best. Keep in mind, to maintain the warranty, you must perform the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance and keep your records.
What is covered under the Powertrain Limited Warranty?
The Powertrain Limited Warranty helps pay to repair or replace any covered powertrain component that fails during the warranty period. Component parts covered include:
Gas/Hybrid Vehicles
- Engine: All internally lubricated parts, plus specified external components. Includes factory-installed turbo/supercharger. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.*
- Diesel Engine: All above parts plus diesel injection components.
- Hybrid: Includes electric drive motor.
Transmission
- Automatic: Internal parts + torque converter, mounts, pan. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.*
- Manual: Internal parts + mounts. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.*
Transfer Case
- All internal components + mounts and engagement parts. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.*
Drive Axle
- Internally lubricated parts + CV joints, U-joints, axle shafts, etc. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.*
Electric Vehicles
- EV Drive/Transmission: Motor/generator, dampener, mounts, coolant pump. Case.**
- Drive Axle: Same coverage as gas vehicles.

If I sell the car does the Powertrain Limited Warranty transfer to the new owner?
No, the Powertrain Limited Warranty is not transferable. If you get it from us, it’s good for 6 months or 6,000 miles – whichever comes first.

Administrative services for Powertrain Limited Warranty are provided by Universal Underwriters Service Corporation (UUSC) and backed by an insurance policy issued by Universal Underwriters Insurance Company (UUIC), individual member companies of Zurich in North America. FL License #60132.
Universal Underwriters Service Corporation is also the issuing provider and administrator of Zurich’s vehicle service contracts in all states except Florida.
